Ubigi vs Airalo: network, coverage and data options
Airalo's Europe plan covers 41 countries and Ubigi's store adds monthly and annual plans to the usual one-off. On 10 GB for 30 days the list prices sit far apart.

Same trip, same 10 GB, two vendors. The money is easy to compare. The rules around it take more reading.
The price on 10 GB
Ubigi's Europe plan is $15 for 10 GB over 30 days. Airalo's Eurolink Europe plan is $31 for 10 GB over 30 days. Both are data only, and both prices were checked on November 2, 2026.
At those list prices, Ubigi comes in lower: $15 against $31. Same data, same validity. If either number moves, so does that sentence. Check the data calculator for a rough sense of how many gigabytes a two-week trip needs.
Coverage
Airalo's Europe page says one eSIM and one package cover 41 countries. Ubigi's store lists Europe as its own region, with a separate "Europe extended" region beside it. Each plan links to its coverage, and I didn't count the countries, so I won't compare totals. Pull up the list for your route, and check the countries you'd cross.
Airalo's Europe page names no local carriers for the plan, and Ubigi's store list doesn't either.
When the clock starts
Ubigi's help page: the plan activates on arrival in a covered area and validity starts then. Already there? It starts immediately. A plan not activated within six months expires.
Airalo's help page: each package has a validity policy. In most cases it starts when the eSIM connects to a supported network. In some cases it starts at install. The policy sits in the package details.
Ubigi gives one rule. Airalo gives a rule per package. Neither is bad, but one needs less reading.
More than one-off
Ubigi's store sells three types: one-off, monthly and annual. Europe's monthly plans on the page began with a 5 GB a month option at US$7, and annual plans were also listed. Monthly plans renew allowance and payment every month, and cancellation is possible after 3 months, per the page. That suits a remote worker more than a tourist.
Airalo's Europe page leads with unlimited packages from 3 to 30 days. The 7-day one was EUR 25.00 on the page, which showed euros. Ubigi's 7-day unlimited Europe plan was US$23 on its dollar page. Airalo's plan data puts a 1 Mbps limit after 5 GB of usage per day on its Europe unlimited plan; I found no cap wording for Ubigi's. Different currencies, so there's no verdict on which is cheaper.
Hotspot and top-ups
Airalo says tethering works if your device and the network support it; on iPhone a manual APN also goes in the Personal Hotspot field. Ubigi's article covers Android: turn on Mobile Hotspot, and register the APN if the option is greyed out. I read only the Android article.
Top-ups: Ubigi's page says use the app or ubigi.me, even with no data left. Airalo says "in many cases" you can top up, and renewals can fire at 10 percent remaining.
Which to pick
Pick Ubigi when you want the lower list price and a start date tied to arrival. Pick Airalo when 41 countries on one plan matter, or you'd rather stay in the store you use for other regions. Longer takes: the Airalo review and the Ubigi review. For more options on this route, read the Europe eSIM comparison and browse eSIM plans.
